There
are over 2,000 varieties of wildflowers in Yellowstone, which are broken
into two groups: spring flowers and summer flowers. When the packing
season begins on July 1st, both groups can be found at different
elevations.
This is a pack trip that we like to offer during the month of July in
the Snake River country so that we can begin with the summer flowers at
lower elevations and move to the spring flowers at higher elevations.
This is a five day pack trip, covering 76.6 miles, and it requires us
to move camp three times, but it is worth it. We take you up on top of
Mount Hancock (Big Game Ridge) to what is surely the best view in all of
Yellowstone. From there you can see every mountain range in the park and
the Grand Tetons.
To the right is a map detailing our route and campsites.
This trip also includes an excursion to the tip of the Thorofare.
This is horseback riding at its best. It is beyond description. We can
shorten this trip to four days by eliminating the excursion to the
Thorofare.
The total cost is $1,925 per person, three person minimum.
