Fishing season in the Red Lodge area conservatively
begins mid-March and continues into December. On the Bighorn River, fish
can be caught on all but the most bitter of January and February days.
However, if you like, you can fish Rock Creek right from the deck of The
Fishing Cabin. Built in the early 50's The Fishing Cabin has local
significance. It has been completely renovated but left with the original
authentic cabin feeling.
"It
was the fishing cabin for us! We sat on the back deck every evening to
have a cocktail and watch the stream roll by. Very Romantic!" Ross
and Christine.
The Fishing Cabin will comfortably sleep four with one bedroom and bath
and sofa queen bed. It has a large deck on the creek with outdoor dining
and grill, a fully furnished kitchen, washer and dryer, and a cable TV
with VCR. Interesting historic pieces of furniture are in the bedroom. The
bed and nightstand are from a lodge in Wyoming dating back to the early
1900's; both are excellent examples of chipped pole work.
A hot tub stands between tall, old cottonwood trees; a small slice of
heaven when the snow is falling and the creek is flowing by. We have even
furnished the robes for you to use.
